Take the city down
by taking out what holds it up.

A plane flies over a procedurally generated city and drops bombs. The blast damages every segment in range, and anything left without a path to the foundation collapses on its own. It is not about hitting everything — only what holds the rest up.

Colourful text illustration: a plane drops a bomb over a city skyline while a panel counts the remaining bombs and the score.

// gameplay

This is what it
looks like in the air.

These come out of the game rather than a mock-up: Skyraze’s own headless renderer builds a real sector, flies it, and photographs the frame in question.

The whole game carries two visual themes: Classic, with its photographic backdrops, and Neon Comic, which redraws the menus and the playfield as a neon illustration. The switch is in the settings and works even from a paused flight.

The threat preview shows the blast radius before the bomb ever leaves the bay.

// the_rule

A tower does not fall from a hit.
It falls when its support goes.

Every segment of a building knows whether it still has a path to the foundation. A blast breaks what it reaches, then the structure is checked again — and everything that has been cut off comes down, taking whatever it lands on with it. Steel supports survive two ordinary hits, so shearing the top is sometimes cheaper than cutting the base.

// flight_modes

Nine flight modes.
One set of physics.

The campaign teaches, the Raid tests, and a sector code hands everyone exactly the same city.

MODE 01

Mission

31 campaign missions with objectives and stars, including 13 special orders. Seven kinds of task: the whole sector, a marked tower, a target line, a landmark to spare, load-bearing collapse, a purge and a corridor.

MODE 02

Raid

A roguelite: sector after sector, 15 bombs to start. After each cleared sector you draft 1 of 3 modifications from a pool of 12. The weekly order takes something away and raises the payout by 25–40%.

MODE 03

Daily challenge

One board for everyone, new at 00:00 UTC. Your opponent is yesterday’s ghost — a recorded flight path replayed at the current board’s scale.

MODE 04

Sector from a code

A NF-XXXXXX code is six characters and 729 million possible sectors. Type someone else’s and you get an identical city, the same 20-bomb limit and the same start.

MODE 05

Precision trials

8 fixed boards with very few bombs. Three stars: finish it, stay under the bomb limit, and fly without the recovery manoeuvre.

MODE 06

Demolition school

6 hand-drawn lessons, one idea per lesson. The ordnance a lesson needs is free, and each one pays out ammunition the first time you pass it.

MODE 07

Designer

Draw your own sector and send it as a NFB-… code, which carries the whole board instead of a seed.

MODE 08

Duel

2–4 pilots, one sector code, one flight each, a table in the hangar. One device, no network and no account.

MODE 09

Free flight

No bomb limit, one sector after another, your own hardware. From sector 3 onwards barrage balloons appear in the air.

// hangar

An aircraft is a way to play,
not a set of sliders.

Ten machines, each built around a single verb: hover, dive, carpet, stick or thermal. The numbers in the hangar are derived from how the machine actually flies — the hangar cannot describe it any other way.

Five more machines wait in the game: Kestrel, Diver, Marauder, Glider and Atlas.

The active abilities — hover, dive and carpet — carry one charge per sector and a key of their own. The stick and the thermal work on their own.

// ordnance

Thirteen ways
to take one tower.

The ordinary bomb is unlimited and free. Special ordnance is bought with points earned in the air — never with real money.

skyraze:~/ballistics$ integrate --substep 480hz

The sight never promises a path the bomb will not take

Bombs keep the plane’s momentum, drift toward the wind speed and reach a terminal descent rate. The aiming ring and the real collision motion are integrated by the same function at the same 480 Hz substep.

// scenery

Eight sceneries.
Each with its own light.

A district changes the dressing only — the backdrop, the façades and the time of day. Geometry comes from the seed alone, so the same sector code gives everyone a comparable board no matter what they own.

Foundries by the ocean in a copper dusk. The list of districts is not closed — more are being built.

On top of that, six weather conditions: barrage balloons, a squall, a blackout, fog, icing and gusts. The first four campaign sorties fly in clear air.

// career

Progress that measures
skill, not patience.

Challenges pay in points and can be ground out by repetition. Medals pay in ammunition, and behind each one is something that had to be done well: a cut that took a tower at the foundation, a sector closed without special ordnance.

A feat counts per drop, not per detonation — a cluster salvo is still one bomb.

status: everything is computed on the device

A city from a number, not a file

The skyline profile, the shapes, the materials and the spacing all come from a 64-bit seed. A flood-fill test over 400 seeds keeps a fresh city standing.

A replay down to the gust

Icing and gusts are driven by the turn counter and a fixed simulation step rather than a clock. That is the same thing that gives ghosts their meaning.

The flight log stays with you

Every flight appends a row to a local runs.csv — mode, score, sector, accuracy. The file is there for balance tuning and never leaves the device.
